Dietetics Department

Who we are and what we do

We are a team of 7 state registered dietitians (RDs). Our department is responsible for providing advice on all aspects of nutrition for patients in hospital, and in outpatient clinics at Mayday University Hospital.

The Mayday team can provide a range of consultancy services such as:

  • Education & Training:   presentations on a range of nutrition related topics (e.g. allergy, obesity, faltering growth, weaning, malnutrition, diabetes).
  • Dietary Resources: we produce a range of diet sheets (free & available to purchase).
  • Menu analysis
  • Policy & guideline development.

All registered dietitians are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC), a regulatory body which sets standards of professional training, performance and conduct for healthcare professionals.  To check if your dietitian is registered you can go the HPC on-line register at
