Tell us what it's like In Your Shoes

Patient with familyMayday and Croydon Community Health Services are inviting patients to help us improve patient care – in hospital, in the community or at home – by listening more closely to the public.

Patients will have the opportunity to meet nurses, doctors, managers and other healthcare staff and tell them about their real life experiences face to face in sessions called “In Your Shoes”.

The Trust wants to hear from a wide range of former patients, including those who have received care from a community health professional, or have had an outpatient appointment, test, surgery or stayed as an inpatient for any reason in the last 12 months.

The events will last about two hours and will involve around 20 patients and 20 staff, discussing experiences individually and in groups.

Travel costs, including parking, will be paid and refreshments provided.

The workshops are scheduled as follows:

  • Tuesday 23rd March, 6.00pm – 8.30pm, May Fayre Restaurant, Mayday Hospital
  • Wednesday 24th March, 9.30am – 12.00pm, May Fayre Restaurant, Mayday Hospital
  • Monday 29th March, 6.00pm– 8.30pm, Fairfield Halls

To get involved please fill in this questionnaire and e-mail it to inyourshoes@mayday.nhs.uk by Wednesday 17 March.
